and Metrology (GEOSTM) became Affiliate Member of European Standardization Organizations (CEN-CENELEC)<br>Georgian National Agency for Standards and Metrology (GEOSTM) within the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia became Affiliate Member of European Standardization Organizations (CEN-CENELEC).<br>CEN and CENELEC, two of the official bodies responsible for developing technical standards in Europe, officially approved the three organizations\u2019 application of Georgia (GEOSTM), Ukraine (DSTU), and Moldova (ISM) as Affiliates at their General Assembly on 24 November.<br>By becoming Affiliate, GEOSTM establishing even closer links with the European Standardization System (ESS) and, therefore, with the European Single Market.<br>Based on GEOSTM membership (CEN from 2008, CENELEC from 2010) in CEN-CENELEC all interested persons in Georgia have access to European standards and other technical documents. Affiliate membership status has expanded opportunities for national stakeholders to participate and integrate in CEN-CENELEC activities.<br>GEOSTM carries out work related to the adoption of European standards in a systematic way to further increase the availability of EU standards at the national level.
