\ud83c\uddec\ud83c\uddea\ud83c\uddee\ud83c\uddf9Visit of the representatives of the Georgian National Agency of Standards and Metrology (GEOSTM) to the Italian National Standardization Body (UNI)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udfe2On March 13-17, 2023, within the framework of The Twinning project \u201cStrengthening of Georgian National Agency for Standards and Metrology (GEOSTM) according to the international\/EU best practices\u201d, representatives of the GEOSTM visited the Italian National Standardization Body (UNI). During the visit along with various issues, attention was focused on the CEN-CENELEC GUIDE 22 ,,Guide on the organizational structure and processes for the assessment of the membership criteria of CEN and CENELEC”, which describes the requirements for members in the mentioned organizations.
\ud83d\udfe2During the visit, UNI managers shared with Georgian colleagues the current practice of meeting the CEN-CENELEC membership criteria, the participation of local experts in International and European Standardization Committees, the further improvement of services, standards translation procedures, and other topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n


\ud83d\udfe2\ud83e\udd1dIt is important to note, that within the framework of the visit, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the GEOSTM and the UNI, which will contribute to the future deepening of collaboration in the sphere of standardization and the planning of joint activities.
